Technical Support Representatives
Description:
Based in London you will be working from our London based operation, in the Docklands, offering technical and billing support to customers. Answering phone calls and troubleshooting emails from customers. Identifying customer questions and offering complete and accurate responses and resolutions. Understanding customer problems and providing proactive solutions that exceed customer expectations.
The role is challenging and involves working on many different issues that arise in the hosting industry. With a strong emphasis on customer service you will be resolving issues from 1st line mail client configuration to 2nd/3rd line IIS configuration and beyond. The role includes logging into servers to make configuration changes, experimenting with new setups and configurations and developing your knowledge further, as well as understanding all the applications provided.
The role WILL require working on various shifts, Day, Evening and Weekend, so flexibility is a must.
Requirements:
Good understanding and experience of DNS, NS, Host-headers, etc.
Experience with some of the following: Administering Windows 2000/2003 or Linux, Apache, IIS, Sendmail, Perl, CGI, PHP, ASP, ColdFusion, SQL, IP Networking.
Outstanding customer service skills with user-level UNIX/Windows skills.
Familiarity with common Internet applications, software and terms.
Working knowledge of how to troubleshoot tools including DNS, FTP, Browsers, telnet, FrontPage and email protocols is preferred.
You will be a strong team player, and have good verbal and written communications skills.
Enthusiasm about the internet a must plus flexibility and commitment to weekend hours.
Remuneration: £19-21k + Overtime
