The Farsi.com web address has been purchased for $75,000 (£46,256).
However, it is not yet known who the purchaser of the language's web domain name is.
Farsi is the most widely-spoken Persian language and there are more than 100 million speakers throughout the world.
The deal was brokered by Sedo, although the sale was not the company's most lucrative one this week.
Brax.com - brax is a slang variation of "bro" - was purchased for $80,000.
Other notable sales this week were e-market.com, hugh.com, udk.com and payment.co.uk.
This comes after Pierluigi Buccoli, chief executive officer of Domain Invest, said that there is always demand for top web addresses.
He said that the state of the economy does not have a significant impact on the desire to purchase effective domain names.
Firms with popular web addresses might find that they attract greater levels of traffic to their website than companies with harder to remember or more obscure web addresses.
