Firms looking to create an effective search engine optimisation (SEO) campaign will need to commit to putting in some effort and dedicating some resources to it, an expert has claimed.
Mark Jackson, president and chief executive officer of SEO firm Vizion Interactive, said many companies are reluctant to develop this aspect of their business because they lack time.
In an article for SearchEngineWatch.com, he said a properly thought-out campaign will require a firm to bring its assets together.
"This means press release copywriting/distribution, blogging, social media marketing, and web design/development," he commented.
"If you're going to do SEO properly you're going to need some folks on your team to chip in," Mr Jackson added.
However, the payoff could make the effort worth it, as SEO Infotech recently asserted that a strong campaign could increase website traffic.
It explained that this could improve revenue for ecommerce stores as there would be more opportunities for conversions.
