Microsoft launches cloud-based product Windows InTune
Microsoft has launched a new product in its cloud services range, allowing businesses to manage their desktops from the web.
InTune is a new software-as-a-service product that now available to companies looking to manage updates and security patches from one console.
Hosted by Microsoft, the application will mean that companies will no longer have to maintain their own servers to host management tools, reports information-age.com.
Dave Allerton is quoted in a case study as saying that the new product will help his firm.
"We have a small IT shop, so we’re all IT generalists," he said.
"The Windows InTune interface gives us a quick summary of all our issues and speeds up the whole process."
Windows InTune will also help companies accelerate their sales by removing up-front investment barriers and introducing ways of closing deals quicker.
Additionally, Microsoft will be give firms the opportunity to resell the product.
