Cloud services providing 'evolving IT outsourcing model' for businesses
Cloud services are an "evolving IT outsourcing model" that have numerous benefits to businesses that decide to introduce the technology to their computer departments.
That is according to John Orrock, president of GlobalOne, who told inquirer.net that outsourcing provides companies with the opportunity to pay for only what they use, therefore making it cheaper for firms.
Furthermore, businesses will save on money that would have otherwise been used to purchase hardware and software, again enabling them to save money.
Mr Orrock added that company data centres are now virtually hosted off-site, meaning that all companies need is an internet connection.
"As a result, we now take care of bulk data storage while business processes and applications are now delivered to these companies as a service wherever and whenever they are needed via real-time internet connectivity," he told the news provider.
Last month, Vikas Bhonsle, general manager of large enterprise operations at Dell India, told The Hindu that cloud services will walk "hand-in-hand" with traditional computing in the coming years.
