Microsoft launches preview to Internet Explorer 10
Microsoft has unveiled a preview for its new internet explorer browser in what the company hopes will be the "first step" in delivering HTML5 support.
The first look at Internet Explorer 10 comes only a month after IE9 was fully released as Microsoft looks to offer an alternative to Google's Chrome browser and Firefox.
It hopes that it can make use of new technology and "build websites that feel and run more like native applications than web pages".
Dean Hachamovitch, corporate vice-president of Internet Explorer, wrote in a blog that the development of HTML is the key behind the quick preview of IE10.
"Our focus has been on enabling the same markup by delivering native HTML5 to Windows with full hardware acceleration and working closely with the standards bodies and the community," he said.
Microsoft also unveiled a new Beta version of Silverlight 5 earlier this week, adding 40 new features to previous releases.
