Video streaming could be used as figures reveal boost in online viewing figures
Businesses could look at creating a dynamic web site with video streaming after new figures revealed online video content viewing figures for last month.
comScore's Video Metrix report revealed that 174 million internet users in the US watched online videos during March with an average viewing time of 14.8 hours.
Google websites had 143 million views, with YouTube making a large proportion of this, while AOL had around 57 million hits.
Furthermore, people viewing Microsoft websites watched an average of 47.2 minutes across the month, suggesting that video on a website can lead to a larger audience share and more spent on a website.
Americans also viewed 4.3 billion video adverts in March and this could have an impact on how businesses market their products through the internet.
The Internet Advertising Bureau revealed last month that online marketing will grow by 12.8 per cent across the next year after internet advertising spending hit £4 billion in 2010.
