Royal wedding-themed domain names now on sale
As expected, traditional memorabilia including plates, tea towels, mugs are now on sale ahead of this month's royal wedding, but the technology world is joining in with many royal-themed domain names now available to buy.
Thousands of pounds are being offered to a selection of domain names that incorporate the royal wedding, which will be taking place on April 29th, with theroyalweding2011.co.uk currently for sale at £1,000.
Furthermore, thebritishroyalwedding2011.com is currently priced at £25,000 on eBay, with the blurb explaining that the name offers a chance to "cash in on your share of this internet traffic to promote yourself or your business".
It adds: "This domain name has global marketing potential and is perfect for someone who wishes to develop their own site under this domain name and see a considerable return on their investment, or for someone who simply wants to own a piece of history."
Earlier this week, an auction got under way to find a new owner for the domain name pad.com.
