Microsoft to integrate CRM Online and Office 365
Microsoft is planning to improve the cloud services offered by its Office 365 software with the integration of its Dynamics CRM Online program.
Eron Kelly, senior director of product management for Microsoft Online Services and Office 365, revealed that some of the company's partners are already working on the process ahead of a planned launch later this year.
Speaking to ZDNet, he said Microsoft is set to add the customer relationship management tool to the base suite of Office 365 hosted applications, either as an update to one of its existing packages, or as part of a new, unnamed product.
But Mr Kelly stated some work still needs to be done until the integration can be finalised, explaining: "Today, there's still a separate provisioning, billing and commerce platform for Office 365 [and CRM Online]."
His comments come just days after Microsoft announced the release of its Office 365 service in 40 countries with a series of global media events.
