Microsoft pledges funding to educational development
Businesses using Microsoft cloud services in a bid to streamline their computer solutions could be interested in a recent announcement from the company.
On Monday (July 18th), the IT manufacturer announced plans to inject $15 million (£9 million) funding into the development of innovative educational tools.
The new technologies, set for use in US learning establishments, include a life-long digital archive set to provide career guidance for struggling students.
Discussed at a White House meeting regarding industry-led partnerships, the IT giant also announced plans to provide training to the country's 150,000 teachers.
"America's business leaders understand that when it comes to education, we need to up our game. That's why we're working together to put an outstanding education within reach for every child," explained President Barack Obama.
Earlier this week, Microsoft revealed that users of Google Health could transfer their details to a HealthVault account following the discontinuation of the Google service.
