Experts predict cloud services spending surge
Company bosses looking to expand cloud services throughout their businesses could be interested in new figures from Gartner.
The technological research company has predicted a steady growth in the number of businesses adopting the IT method by 2015.
According to the organisation's figures, the cloud services market is set to reach $177 billion (£110 million) in the next four years, making it a significant trend in the sector.
In addition, Garner has forecast that spending in this area will grow four times faster than spending on overall IT solutions in upcoming years.
Vice president Richard Gordon said: "The emergence and adoption of cloud is an important trend and in some markets, it's already a significant factor."
According to Computer World, the majority of business leaders will adopt cloud services as their primary IT operating channel by 2014.
This comes after Colt researchers revealed that 60 per cent of European chief information officers had plans to adopt the method within the next three years.
