Juniper predicts revenue increase from mobile cloud services
Increasing numbers of businesses will adopt mobile cloud services as a result of unified communications offerings, a study has predicted.
Technology analyst Juniper Research has estimated that annual revenue acquired for the facility would reach $39 billion (£24 billion) by 2016.
Mobile network operators offering an innovative variety of unified communications software have been cited as a major factor in the rise in popularity.
As part of its Mobile Cloud Report, the research company also highlighted the benefits cloud services can bring for corporate clients looking to retain customers.
In addition, the IT operation allows providers to further increase revenues by introducing application programming interfaces to Software-as-as-Service companies.
Earlier this month, the research firm also predicted a 40 per cent increase in the number of individuals using mobile payments to receive online content.
Expected to reach 2.5 million users by 2015, the ecommerce strategy is set to reach this figure as a result of the popularity of mobile tickets for transport.
