Telecom firms 'face considerable cloud services challenges'
Businesses contemplating adopting cloud services in a bid to improve employee productivity could be interested in the latest news regarding the technology.
According to analytical company Ovum, telecommunications companies looking to take advantage of the emerging market could face a number of challenges.
As part of a new report, the independent organisation suggests a lack of brand identity in the IT market could hinder well-known firms throughout the process.
In addition, the fast-paced nature of innovation required for cloud services would force network service providers to significantly reduce their time to market.
Analyst Mark Giles advised: "A partnership can help telcos to expand their number of sales channels and profit from an association with a premium IT services brand."
Earlier this month, Ovum called for vendors of electronic prescribing software to improve their system designs to ensure widespread distribution to hospitals and surgeries is carried out.
The demand comes after a report conducted by the organisation established that uptake of the technology had been slow in the US and Europe.
