Video streaming service Hulu is reportedly set to begin accepting initial acquisition bids for its ownership this Wednesday (August 24th), it has been reported.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a number of big-name organisations including Google, Yahoo, Amazon and DirecTV are interested in putting an offer in for the company.
The newspaper claimed that people "familiar" with the matter stated that suitors were set to submit proposals regarding television programmes, when shows would be come available and how long licensing agreements would last.
In addition, insiders informed the publication that some bidders are likely to offer between $500 million (£303.8 million) and £2 billion.
Although rumours are rife that internet giant Google will be one of the organisations to place a bid, representatives declined to confirm the reports.
The online company recently announced that "Amy Winehouse dead" and "Harper Beckham" were among the most popular search terms during the summer months.
