Companies 'are experimenting with hosted cloud services'
Increasing numbers of companies are experimenting with cloud computing in a bid to get a taste of the benefits associated with the technology, an expert has suggested.
Seth Robinson, co-author of the CompTIA second annual Trends in Cloud Computing report, stated that the accessibility of the service is encouraging more businesses to try out the feature to streamline their IT operations.
Mr Robinson also suggested that the simplistic nature of adopting hosted cloud services could have spurred companies to experiment, as well as the recently reduced cost.
His comments emerge after the CompTIA report predicted that the industry market would remain on a path of significant growth over the next few years.
In addition, the document revealed that more companies were now understanding of the benefits associated with the services and had begun the transition as a result.
"[For] the kind of companies that may not have done much development up front, now the cloud offers them a way to do that - we think they're looking into new functions in their IT," Mr Robinson explained.
