Ecommerce: Amazon voted number one for customer service
Ecommerce organisation Amazon has been named the leading provider of customer service as part of a recent survey carried out by a well-known consultancy firm.
Researchers from Nunwood revealed that the online retailer came out on top in terms of the guidance and assistance offered to users, Warc reports.
As part of the study, the company asked 7,300 adults to rate organisations they had done business with in the past six months, covering areas such as meeting their expectations and the simplicity of the purchasing process.
Amazon, which took the top spot for the second consecutive year, saw off competition from John Lewis, Virgin Atlantic and Millie's Cookies.
Justine Noades, marketing director of Millie's Cookies, said: "We are looking to innovate in the next six months and also want to up our digital and social media presence, developing our website further."
Paul Allen, editor of IT magazine Computeractive, recently advised individuals to ensure ecommerce websites are legitimate when carrying out their shopping online.
