Online marketing: Businesses 'should combine social media and email'
Businesses developing new online marketing strategies have been urged to embrace social media to promote their brand and increase sales.
In an interview with Business News Daily, Jeff Revoy - chief product and marketing officer at iContact - stated firms were struggling to integrate use of the websites with traditional campaigns.
His comments were made to launch a new product from the organisation, which allows users to monitor activity on Facebook and Twitter, while combining the use of email offers and promotions.
The surging popularity of social media as a method of communication among people has resulted in a high number of firms adopting the platform to sell more products.
"Social networks continue to grow and transform business communications, yet businesses have lacked the insight and capabilities to utilize these channels to their full potential," Mr Revoy added.
This comes after Simon Curtis, senior vice president of strategic sales and business development for YES-Wallet.com, claimed organisations are failing to embrace social media to its highest degree.
