Kasperky Lab launches information portal
Anti-virus software provider Kaspersky Lab has launched a new website aimed at advising users of the best online security methods.
Its new site, named Whitelisting, uses the company's database of clean, non-malicious software and intends to highlight the importance and effectiveness of these technologies.
Aimed at both the general public and developers, the site also offers visitors a way to learn what solution would be best for their needs.
Vladimir Zapolyansky, head of independent software developer relations at Kaspersky Lab, said: "In combination with the traditional approach to IT security, whitelisting and application control offer a new level of protection for users."
He added that the new website will underline the importance of anti-spam and anti-virus software and aim to be the go-to portal for system security.
Research carried out to mark the launch of National Identity Fraud Protection Week and commissioned by Fellowes earlier this year highlighted that 96 per cent of customers were not confident firms were taking enough action to protect them against security risks.
