Businesses using video streaming technology in a bid to remain up-to-date with the current news could be interested in a recent announcement from AOL.
The internet service provider has announced the launch of a new high-definition application, which allows individuals to stream online content to their televisions.
Aiming to reach more than ten million consumers, the service will also offer audio streaming for people to listen to full albums using the AOL Music Listening Party.
The new AOL HD service is available for Roku, Boxee and Yahoo Connected TV customers through entertainment, home and technology categories.
Rob DelaCruz, general manger for AOL HD, said: "There has been explosive growth in the number of users who watch and interact with internet content on their televisions."
In other video streaming news, ecommerce company Amazon has unveiled intentions to widen its use of the service with the launch of a new deal with NBCUniversal.
