Online businesses looking to improve their marketing strategies in a bid to increase custom could be interested in recent ecommerce figures from Domino's Pizza.
As part of its interim results for the first half of the year, the fast-food retailer reported a 50.9 per cent growth for internet purchases since June 2010.
The figures, which accounted for 41.9 per cent of the company's delivered items, represented total sales of £85 million during the period.
In addition, the pizza company reported £20.1 million profit before tax, which was a 14.8 per cent rise from the corresponding period of 2010.
Chief executive Chris Moore said: "I am delighted to announce a good set of results in what can only be described as a very tough operating climate."
Earlier this year, members of staff from Domino's Pizza head office in Milton Keynes raised £1,000 for the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy and Breast Cancer Care by carrying out a sports day challenge.
