Around 200 ecommerce jobs will be created across Ireland in the near future as the Gilt Groupe announced it will move its international headquarters to Dublin.
The company, which gives its members access to luxury brands at reduced prices, will begin recruiting for software engineering and technology roles immediately, according to siliconrepublic.com.
Furthermore, it will also create new customer service jobs in Limerick this September as the online shopping medium continues to grow across the world.
Michael Bryzek, the company's founder and chief technology officer, told the news provider that there is a "lot of work to be done" to make social commerce viable.
"What we do is make the curated experience online simple, fast and fun. Our sale starts every day at noon and we offer different products handpicked by people with style," he said.
"It's an event and happens in a set period of time. Internally we joke that it's a bit like shopping in Twitter."
Gilt offers up to 60 per cent off luxury products, starting its daily sales at noon eastern time.
