Ecommerce sites can increase business revenue streams through worldwide audience
Ecommerce websites can help businesses increase their revenue streams as their products are given a worldwide audience.
That is according to Sandeep Deshpande, country general manager in India for Alibaba.com, who told the Times of India that businesses can explore new markets through online shopping, giving them a bigger geographical reach.
Furthermore, he added that there are no geographical boundaries to ecommerce websites, giving companies a wider target audience with little investment.
Mr Deshpande told the news provider that there are many ways for businesses to benefit.
"Business-to-business ecommerce platforms provide small businesses with opportunities to establish their presence on the internet by providing them a one-stop shop, identifying potential trading partners, learning more about global trade, sharing trading experience and letting buyers and suppliers communicate," he said.
BDO's High Street Sales Tracker, published earlier this month, revealed that ecommerce websites saw a rise in spending across May, while the High Street struggled.
