Ecommerce sites through mobile platforms can help deliver 'high quality user experience'
Restaurants could look at introducing ecommerce websites through mobile platforms after an expert said that it can allow them to deliver a high quality user experience.
Andris Berzins, chief marketing officer at Livebookings, a reservations and marketing website, said that smartphone use has led to people accessing information in different ways.
He believes that restaurants can take advantage of this new interest by ensuring that their dynamic website is available in mobile format, giving consumers the opportunity to reserve tables and view menus online.
"Consumers demand instant access to the services they want 24/7, so it's important that restaurants respond to changing consumer behaviours and embrace mobile technology to deliver a high quality user experience," he said.
Mark O'Hanlon, manager of global management consultancy company Kurt Salmon, said last week that businesses could look at introducing social media use when marketing their brands online as people increasingly look for online reviews.
