Fashion label Miu Miu will launch its first ecommerce website later this week (April 6th) as it looks to take advantage of a growing online market.
Products from the fashion retailer, which is a subsidary of Prada, had only been available through third party websites until now, but fashionistas will soon be able to get hold of their clothing cravings directly.
The new website will launch in 17 different countries, offering full collections, newsletters and details of upcoming fashion events, according to elleuk.com.
Miu Miu's introduction to the online world comes after parent company Prada announced that it broke previous records for its sales in 2010.
Company profits increased by 150 per cent from £88.4 million in 2009 to £221.2 million last year, prompting new ventures online.
Prada's chief executive officer Patrizio Bertelli, said that the figures prove that hard work has paid off.
"We have spent the last few years focusing on our brands and the development of our retail network," he said.
"These results confirm the effectiveness of our strategy."
