M&S achieves the best marks in mobile ecommerce site survey
Ecommerce through mobile websites is proving popular with customers of Marks & Spencer after the retailer finished top of a study into consumer satisfaction.
A report by eDigitalResearch found that customer satisfaction on mobile phone ecommerce sites is on the increase as it becomes an established way of viewing content and making purchases.
M&S scored 88.8 per cent in the overall rating, one place higher than it achieved in the first study published last September.
Research Director at eDigitalResearch, Derek Eccleston, said that many businesses are now using the study to help improve the service they provide through mobile ecommerce.
"It is essential that as smart device ownership continues to increase, brands continue to invest in the platform in order to encourage purchases and increase brand advocacy," he said.
eDigitalResearch and IMRG reported last week that shoppers are increasingly using their smartphones to make their shopping experience more interactive, including comparing prices with other retailers.
