Mobile ecommerce advertising doubles in US over next two years, survey finds
Mobile ecommerce could increase after research revealed that the number of US mobile display advertisements have doubled in the last two years.
comScore's latest report showed that while mobile advertising is increasing, the number of people being exposed to the adverts is also on the rise.
It found that 82.3 per cent of smartphone users have used their browser, 85 per cent of people are using an app while 27.5 per cent of smartphone users have seen advertising on the web or in applications.
Hans Fredericks, comScore's vice-president, said that there is a "ripe environment" for advertisers with the number of devices available to people.
"As consumer usage and technology continue to advance, look for advertising to play an increasingly important role in the development of the mobile ecosystem," he said.
Jamie Estrin, the managing director of Web TV, said yesterday (June 7th) that online video is also being used as part of the advertising mix.
