Google returns relevant search results more than seven out of ten times, according to a recent study.
Mark Maheney of Citygroup tested Microsoft's Bing and compared it to Yahoo! and Google, reports AllThingsDigital.com.
He found that 71 per cent of the searches on Google were either equal to or more relevant than those using Yahoo! or Bing.
The new Microsoft search engine returned the most relevant or equal results less than 50 per cent of the time.
However, the online portal noted that for certain search topics, it was better to use Bing.
"Bing also performs better for at least two kinds of searches: Health and travel. So if you need to book a trip, or if you pick up a rash on that trip, you might want to think about Binging before you Google," it said.
Google is still the dominant search engine on the internet with 74.48 per cent of the market share, according to data from StatCounter Global Stats.
