Internet video advertising revenues 'treble'
Online marketing could be used by companies over the coming year after a new report showed that internet video advertising revenues trebled in 2010.
Web TV Enterprise has revealed that 154 different advertisers ran 400 campaigns on its network of premium video channels last year, around three times as a many as 2009.
Furthermore, 118 of the 154 advertisers were using video for advertising for the first time, suggesting that more will be doing the same in the next 12 months.
Jamie Estrin, founder and managing director of Web TV Enterprise, said that 2010 was a "landmark year" for the whole industry.
"The campaigns running on our network now cover the full spectrum of TV advertising categories, from automotive to leisure, proving that online video is now a major media channel in the UK," he said.
Last month, ABI Research reported that mobile marketing revenues are set to grow to £950 million by 2016 as more companies look to spread the word about their brand over the internet.
