SEO professionals 'should check Bing as well as Google stats'
Search engine optimisation (SEO) professionals should look into the statistics for Bing as well as for Google, an expert has claimed.
According to Jim Stewart, who runs search engine marketing firm Stewart Media, it is important for companies to use Bing to their advantage.
He told SmartCompany.com that marketing managers should look into the new Microsoft search engine and get Bing web master tools to cross-check with Google analystics.
"It can tell you things about your site that you didn't have before and it's always good to have a different point of view," he said.
He added that experts should keep an eye on Bing over the coming months because the search engine could grow in popularity.
Recent figures revealed that there are already more than two million unique browsers for Bing, which might indicate that it will soon become one of the major players in the market.
Indeed, Microsoft's internal data showed that in June there was an eight per cent boost to unique visitor numbers.
