SMBs and marketing gurus becoming more IT savvy, expert says
Marketing executives at small and medium-sized businesses are becoming more IT savvy with more sales people talking about technology.
That is according to Robby Gulri, vice-president of products at security company Echoworx, who said that companies are looking at getting ahead of the game when it comes to new devices.
He believes that marketing experts are raising eyebrows at new devices being brought into the office by co-workers, sparking ideas on how they can be utilised by the company.
Mr Gulri was speaking at Infosecurity, an event for information security professionals that took place at Earls Court between April 19th and 21st.
While this goes against how firms normally treat new technology, Mr Gulri says that this is changing.
"Even small businesses, who are pretty rigid in the way that they do things, are starting to see five people in the company that have five different devices and five different ways of doing things," he said.
