Microsoft unveils new Kinect experiences
Fun-loving gamers looking for the newest technology to use on their Xbox 360 console could be interested in a recent announcement from Microsoft.
On Tuesday (July 25th), the global IT provider announced the launch of two new products for use on its Kinect platform, aiming to create a brand new experience for users.
The new Avatar Kinect allows users to create a character and chat with seven online friends using the technology's special camera to track facial expressions and gestures.
Alternatively, avid gamers could favour the Kinect Sparkler, which allows individuals to decorate 3D photographs of themselves with a range of different patterns.
Eric Lang, general manager for the Microsoft start-up business group, said: "Avatar Kinect and Sparkler are fun, creative experiences that allow consumers to get a sneak preview of cutting-edge Kinect technologies today instead of waiting until it's in full-blown games."
Earlier this week, Microsoft gave Star Wars fans the opportunity to take advantage of a limited edition bundle to mark the launch of the new gaming experience.
