Cloud technologies 'could expose business blind spots'
Consumerisation, and cloud computing can increase business risk and impact information technology if correct measures such as online security are not put in place.
The technology performance company Compuware Corporation has suggested that technology trends driven by business demands could expose new performance blind spots in security systems.
A representative from the company cited a study that highlighted the fact that 77 per cent of chief information officers are worried about how safe cloud computing would be for their businesses.
Steve Tack, chief technology officer of Compuware's APM Business Unit, said: "To adapt to this changing dynamic, it's critical for organisations to extend best practice management beyond the firewall by first understanding the end user experience of new technologies and services."
He added that this is the only way to support users who are looking to take advantage of trends in the computing market.
A specialist from virtualization.info, a news site about the virtualisation industry, recently commented that virtualisation systems can have many benefits but they should be managed by a skilled admisitrator for maximum security and effectiveness.
