Online security: Kaspersky Lab collaborates with Emerging Threats Pro
Two online security companies have announced plans to join forces to collaborate their work in a bid to make the internet a safer place for users.
Earlier today (September 7th), Kaspersky Lab unveiled its new partnership with Emerging Threats Pro, which will see the organisations exchange data on malware samples.
In addition, the collaboration will involve increased research into security vulnerabilities and the creation of bad IP lists and IP reputation feeds to keep members safe online.
Nikita Shvetsov, director of anti-malware research at Kaspersky Lab, expressed delight at the newfound partnership that will see the companies continue the fight to protect users.
"Our combined efforts will produce expertise synergies for both organisations to optimise our signatures, which will then trickle down to better internet security for all," she added.
Earlier this month, Kaspersky Lab revealed that distributed denial-of-service attacks were becoming increasingly common among cybercriminals to protest against government activity.
