Businesses may need to look at using anti-virus software for their computers after one expert said that firms will be facing more IT security threats in the future.
Rob Rachwald, director of security strategy at data security company Imperva, said that that there are also threats from inside companies as low-level employees breach systems.
He added that training isn't the answer to increasing security as people will cause problems regardless of what they are told.
More technology and tighter anti-virus controls are the way to help combat threats to data security, he believes.
"Actually I think better censors and better controls have to be put in place that makes it much harder to get to, take and leave with the data," Mr Rachwald said.
"You can train somebody, and scare them by telling them it's illegal, but when the rubber hits the road, the only way to do that is to have the sort of technology in place to stop it."
Mr Rachwald was speaking at Infosecurity Europe which tool place between April 19th and 21st at Earls Court in London.
