'Agile' cloud services can help companies become smarter, says expert
Using cloud hosting services could be one way in which small and medium-sized businesses help to run a smarter business.
That is according to computer animator Nick Russo, who told businesstoday.com.au that using cloud computing can help create new opportunities for small businesses and reduce information gap between technology advancements and firms using them.
He added that the technology is "so agile" and that they can have a massive effect on the way businesses are run.
The International Data Corporation predicted last month that cloud computing revenue is set to treble by 2014 as more businesses take advantage to reduce their outgoings.
Mr Russo said that companies do not need to spend massive amounts of money on creating an online ship when they can use cloud services instead.
"We always thought we had to pay to build everything from scratch. But now there are people building this technology, and they're doing it much better than what you could ever afford to do yourself," he said.
