Amazon launches Kindle Cloud Reader
Businesses using cloud services in a bid to streamline their IT operations could be interested in a new product launched by Amazon.
The electronic commerce company has announced plans to launch its Kindle Cloud Reader, which allows users to look at books instantly with the use of their web browser.
In addition, the gadget does not require the need for items to be downloaded or installed, giving technology-savvy individuals the chance to enjoy literature while on the go.
Available on Safari for iPad, Safari on desktop and Chrome, the new feature automatically synchronises the last page read, as well as any previously saved bookmarks.
Dorothy Nicholls, director of Amazon Kindle, said: "To make it easy and seamless to discover new books, we've added an integrated, touch-optimised store directly into Cloud Reader, allowing customers … access to a vast selection of books."
Earlier this week, Kindle users were given the opportunity to subscribe to the digest edition of Fantasy & Science Fiction magazine to gain access to editorial content.
