Cloud hosting services used by Royal Mail Group to improve employee collaboration
The Royal Mail Group (RMG) has used cloud hosting services to improve collaboration between employees, it has been announced.
Microsoft's Office 365 tool has been chosen to help increase productivity from the company's 28,000 employees, who were given access to the technology over the eight-week deployment period.
Adoption of the cloud service was also made in a bid to reduce costs and become more efficient, according to computing.co.uk.
Adrian Steel, RMG's head of infrastructure management, told the news provider that the system has improved how people work at the company.
"The transition was very successful, with huge customer satisfaction even though you were changing a core primary business tool," he said.
"Now that we've been up and running for a good nine months, we're starting to see the full benefits of the transformation."
Earlier this week (May 4th) Microsoft revealed that its Microsoft Office 365 product helped it to quarterly profit rises of 13 per cent.
